With Dr. Devang Patel

Course information
Moving from single-tooth treatment to full-mouth rehabilitation means coordinating individual restorations within a wider occlusal plan. This course follows that progression through recorded teaching and demonstrations.
Start with examination, splints and records. Then explore vertical dimension, diagnostic wax-ups and patient communication before moving to anterior and posterior restorative techniques.
Your DentalEDX course contains 23 lessons totaling 17 hours and 14 minutes. Study the recorded lessons at your own pace; hands-on training and individual mentoring are not included.
Who this course is for
Build on your restorative experience with a structured approach to assessment and rehabilitation.
Connect familiar composite, crown and onlay techniques with full-mouth planning.
Review occlusal records, vertical dimension and the sequence of anterior and posterior treatment.
Explore adhesive rehabilitation, the Dahl principle and diagnostic wax-ups.
Occlusion to rehabilitation
Examination and records establish the starting point for the restorative sequence.
The early lessons focus on occlusal assessment and records rather than preparation design alone. Planning then links vertical dimension, morphology and the diagnostic wax-up before the course turns to restorative execution.
Assess the relationships. Plan the sequence. Review the result.
What you’ll learn
Review terminology and a comprehensive examination before selecting a restorative direction.
Study facebow transfers, interocclusal records and mounting, alongside Michigan splint procedures.
Explore changes in vertical dimension, the Dahl principle and a simple adhesive sequence.
Connect tooth morphology and diagnostic wax-ups with patient communication.
Compare direct build-ups with indirect restorations in both regions.
Finish the teaching sequence with the maintenance of the rehabilitation.
Return to the step you need to review.Recorded instruction
The course moves between explanatory lectures and demonstrations. Revisit records and splint procedures, study the diagnostic wax-up, or return to the anterior and posterior build-up lessons.
