With Dr. Edward McLaren

Course information
A natural-looking restoration depends on more than shade alone. Edward McLaren connects facial, gingival and dental relationships with the photographic records and material decisions that guide esthetic treatment.
The teaching moves from visual analysis to photography and Photoshop, then into ceramic selection, conservative preparation, dentin sealing, laboratory communication, adhesion and surface finishing.
Explore 22 lessons across 25 hours and 59 minutes of education. Revisit individual topics at your pace as you plan and review restorative cases.
Who this course is for
Build on your restorative foundation with a shared language for esthetics, records and ceramic design.
Connect smile assessment with preparation design, material selection and adhesive delivery.
Review the relationship between facial context, tooth form and restorative choices.
Develop shade communication, photographic interpretation and surface-detail skills.
Esthetic assessment
Facial context, gingival framing and tooth proportions give restorative design its direction.
The opening lessons develop an artistic vocabulary for contour, angles, proportion, light and shadow. Photography then turns those observations into records that support treatment planning and communication.
Observe the whole smile. Document the details. Communicate the design.
